Hey everyone,
I’m really proud of how this project turned out. It marks a big step forward for me in terms of growth, learning, and pushing my skills further than before.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Sylvester Stallone and his films, and this piece was a personal tribute to the character that has inspired me to keep going, even when life hits hard. I wanted to capture a younger Stallone — specifically his iconic look from Rocky.
The outfit was fully sculpted in ZBrush from scratch, focusing on natural folds, fabric weight, and subtle imperfections to keep everything grounded and believable.
For the groom, I used FiberShop to create the hair textures and GS CurveTools to place the cards in Maya. The most important aspect of this project, however, was the likeness. I spent a significant amount of time studying references and refining the sculpt in ZBrush and Maya to accurately capture the features, proportions, and subtle characteristics of a young Stallone.
I’d also like to give a big thank my lead Brad Myers who provided feedback and critique along the way — your input really helped push this piece to where it is now.
